Hello there! Hope everyone had  a nice christmas and new year. We had a really nice one, eating drinking and being merry!

At the end of November I took the plunge and went on a little trip on my own - to Malta! I really needed a break! It was been a tough slog trying to get to grips with my new job so I needed some rest and relaxation.

 I flew with GB airways which was ok, and I stayed at St Jullians Le Meridien which was really really nice, and  a great deal as it was slightly out of season! Still it was quite warm and I got to use the spa, sample the Mediterrean cuisine and wine and of course do quite a bit of sight-seeing.

It is very easy to get around the island, as the have these amazing old Leyland and Bedford buses, which are very eye-catching and abit of a bone shaker but I
took a few buses around the island. To Mosta, to the silent city Mdina and the capital Valetta.

In Malta there is  very laid back attitude to life which is very infectious, and of course the churches and sandstone building are very beautiful.

I really enjoyed it. I recommend travelling on your own, it gives you time to think and also prove to yourself that you can do it!
Having said that it was nice to come home and see Patrick again!

Next stop St Lucia!
